Pretorius Cough Clear is a dual-action herbal lozenge that pairs a concentrated extract of ivy leaf (Hedera helix) with menthol, so one lozenge works on two problems at once — the rawness of a sore throat and the cough that usually comes with it.

Ivy leaf has a long history of traditional use for the relief of coughs and for helping to reduce mucous in the respiratory tract, while menthol delivers the familiar cooling sensation that takes the edge off an irritated throat. Each lozenge carries 26mg of ivy leaf dry extract, equivalent to 162.5mg of dry leaf, together with 7mg of menthol.

The lozenge is a hard format designed to dissolve slowly in the mouth, keeping the actives in contact with the throat rather than washing straight through. Adults dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth up to six times a day.

The 24 lozenges come in individual foiled blister strips, so a strip can live in a bag, pocket or car without the rest of the pack going soft. Not suitable for children under 5 years, and not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
