A 100g bar of Niulife's handcrafted virgin coconut oil soap in Peppermint - described by the brand as refreshing like a cool breeze. Like the whole Niulife soap range it is made in small coastal villages in the Solomon Islands from coconut oil hand-pressed using Niulife's own DME (Direct Micro Expelling) process, then cold-saponified and cured by hand. Every bar is certified organic and Fair Trade, and the villagers who press the oil are paid directly for it.

The distinguishing ingredient is Mentha x piperita (peppermint) essential oil, which gives the bar a sharp, cooling menthol tingle on the skin. It suits anyone who wants a wake-up bar for the morning shower, gym bag or post-surf rinse, and it is a good pick for hot climates and for people who find heavily perfumed soaps cloying.

Use it as you would any bar soap on body, face or hair - wet, work up the lather, rinse. Because it is super-fatted with extra virgin coconut oil, the lather is rich but non-stripping; it also works in salt water and hard water, so it travels well for camping and boating.
