The Coconut Milk bar - Niulife calls it simply Milk - is the creamiest soap in the range: velvet smooth and moisturising in the brand's own words. It is a 100g handcrafted bar made in the Solomon Islands from DME hand-pressed virgin coconut oil, certified organic and Fair Trade.

What makes it different is that freshly squeezed coconut milk is blended into the batch alongside the saponified coconut oil. That extra fat and sugar content builds a noticeably denser, more velvety lather than the plain bars, with a soft natural coconut scent and no added fragrance or essential oil at all.

It is the pick for dry, tight or sensitive skin, and for anyone who wants the nourishment without perfume. Lather it over body and face in the shower, or use it as a shampoo bar - the range is marketed as good for both skin and hair. It also makes a very effective stain-removing laundry bar when rubbed damp onto a mark before washing.

As with every Niulife soap, there are no animal fats, preservatives, palm oil or sodium lauryl sulphate, and the bar form means far less packaging than a bottled body wash.
