Description:

Herbs of Gold Activated Folate 500 contains methylfolate (5-MTHF), the metabolically active form of folate, as Quatrefolic®, a glucosamine salt providing 500mcg 5-MTHF per capsule.

Folic acid is a synthetic form of folate that the body converts to 5-MTHF using the MTHFR enzyme. 5-MTHF is a good form of folate for people with lower activity of this enzyme, and a good alternative to folic acid as it does not mask vitamin B12 deficiency symptoms.

Adults and children over 12 years: take 1 capsule daily, with food, or as directed by your health professional. Advise your doctor of any medicine you take during pregnancy, particularly in your first trimester.
