The Lemon Shampoo Bar is Cooki's clarifying and detox bar — sunny, fresh and tangy. It pairs citronella oil, which the brand describes as an antibacterial that cleanses and soothes, with zesty lemon oil to cut through excess oil and add shine, with the aim of balancing the scalp for healthy, shiny hair.

It has two clear uses in the brand's own positioning: an everyday shampoo for genuinely oily hair, or a once-a-month deep-clean reset for everyone else. It lathers well and strips product buildup, leaving hair squeaky clean, which makes it useful for anyone transitioning off conventional silicone-heavy shampoos. It is colour-safe on highlights.

To use, wet the bar in your hands until it lathers, run it through wet hair from root to tip and massage until lathered, then rinse thoroughly. Because it is a clarifying formula, Cooki recommends following with one of its conditioner bars. Dry the bar on a drainer dish between washes.

Available as a 65g refill box or a 65g reusable metal tin. One bar is claimed to last up to three bottles of shampoo. Vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free and palm oil-free.
