Chief Collagen Bars are 45g nut-butter based protein bars built around Australian halal grass-fed hydrolysed bovine collagen. The base is a biscuity, melt-in-your-mouth cashew (or cashew and peanut) butter core, with the choc-coated versions wrapped in 70% cocoa dark chocolate. Chief's pitch is that it is easy to find bars with good macros or clean ingredients, but hard to find both.

The range splits into two styles. The uncoated bars - Peanut Butter, Cashew Shortbread, Hazelnut Brownie and Lemon Tart - carry the highest protein (around 16g per bar). The choc-coated bars - Double Choc, Choc Mint, Choc Caramel, Choc Peanut Butter and Choc Pistachio - trade a little protein for a dark-chocolate shell.

They suit anyone wanting a sweet snack without added sugar, sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners: office drawer, gym bag, lunchbox, or a post-workout hit alongside coffee. Sweetened with maple syrup and monk fruit only, and boosted with S. officinarum prebiotic fibre for a high-fibre, low-sugar profile.
