Rich plain dark organic chocolate at 70% cocoa — the benchmark bar of the Bennetto range, made from just three ingredients.

The cocoa is sourced from the UNOCACE Fortaleza cooperatives in Ecuador and made into chocolate by a Swiss chocolate maker who offsets all CO2 from production by planting timber trees in the growing regions. With no vanilla and nothing added, the bean character is left to speak for itself — balanced cocoa, gentle acidity and a creamy melt.

Bennetto Natural Foods is a New Zealand chocolate maker working with certified organic, Fairtrade cocoa from family cooperatives in Peru, Madagascar and Ecuador, crafted by a Swiss chocolate maker who offsets all CO2 from production by planting timber trees in the growing regions. Every bar is certified vegan by the International Vegan Society and gluten free by Coeliac New Zealand, with no added soy, gluten or dairy, and comes in a recyclable envelope illustrated with native birds that doubles as gift wrap.

An 80g block for straight eating, and equally at home chopped into baking. Store below 20°C in a cool, dry place.
