Uncle John's Plain Molasses Licorice is a traditional, freshly cooked Australian licorice made in small batches at the family-run Mordialloc factory in Victoria. Owner-operators Catherine and Jason Jenner have made it to the original Uncle John's old-fashioned recipe since 2005, and the recipe itself has been enjoyed by licorice lovers for more than 30 years.

Made with licorice root extract, molasses and treacle, it has the deep, malty flavour and soft, chewy bite that sets batch-cooked licorice apart from mass-produced confectionery. A gentle note of aniseed oil runs through it, and the pieces stay soft rather than drying out or turning hard.

Sold in a resealable 300g bag, it is ready to eat straight from the pack — a share bag for the pantry, lunchboxes or the car. Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to keep the pieces soft. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
