Kehoe's Organic Beetroot Cashew Cheese is a cultured, dairy-free spread made from fermented organic cashews with beetroot, apple, onion, ginger and cumin. The ferment produces lactic acid and live probiotics, so the tang is real rather than added.

The beetroot and cumin give it a distinctly Moroccan flavour and a vivid pink colour that makes a platter look after itself. There are no flavours, colours, thickeners, starch, preservatives or gums in the jar.

Use it on toast with avocado, as a dip for vegetables and crackers, dolloped onto pizza, stirred through pasta, or diluted with a little water as a salad dressing. It works anywhere you would otherwise reach for butter, cream cheese or yoghurt. Keep refrigerated; probiotics can build gas in the jar, so refer to the note on the lid.
