Alter Eco Dark Salted Burnt Caramel is a 70% cacao Ecuadorian dark chocolate block carrying 15% crunchy salted caramel granulates and a hint of fleur de sel. Raw cane sugar, organic cream and pastured butter are simmered to the brink of burnt, then set and broken through the chocolate.

Unlike a soft-centred caramel bar, the caramel here is crisp, so the block snaps and crunches rather than oozing. It suits shoppers after an organic, fair trade caramel treat, eaten as a snacking or dessert bar.

Please note this bar is vegetarian but not vegan – the caramel granulates contain organic butter and cream, and milk is declared as an allergen.

Alter Eco is a Certified B Corporation whose cacao is certified organic and Fair for Life fair trade certified, grown by farmer co-operatives using regenerative agroforestry – planting timber, banana and legumes alongside the cacao to rebuild soil health.
